Our team of qualified teachers in Microsoft Dream Space are passionate about supporting colleagues working in primary, second-level and Youthreach settings when it comes delivery of STEM and digital technology lessons. That’s why we launched the Dream Space Teacher Academies to support teachers on their professional learning journeys and create communities of practice for them to engage with.

Dream Space Minecraft Teacher Academy

The Dream Space Minecraft Teacher Academy offers professional development for teachers to help them integrate game-based learning using Minecraft Education into their classrooms.

The programme begins with a 3-hour introductory session, available both in person and online. It continues with monthly sessions lasting between 1 and 1.5 hours over a 4-month period. Participants will earn digital badges through MS Learn modules.

This programme runs twice during the academic year and is open to all educators in both formal and informal learning settings. No prior knowledge is required, but access to Minecraft Education is necessary for this course.

Dream Space Academic Innovators Academy

Over the course of several weeks, you’ll explore the exciting world of AI, learn the fundamentals of prompt engineering, and discover AI tools that boost productivity. You'll also gain experience and access to resources that will help you enhance AI literacy for your students, including how to approach responsible and ethical AI. Upon completion, you’ll earn a digital badge via Credly, showcasing your expertise and commitment to innovative teaching. Dream Space Digital Fundamentals Teacher Academy

The Dream Space Digital Fundamentals Teacher Academy provides teacher professional learning across a variety of STEM and digital programmes. The programme starts with a 3-hour introductory session, available both in-person and online. It then continues with monthly sessions lasting between 1 and 1.5 hours, spanning 4 months.

Session 1: Computational thinking in the digital era
Session 2: Programming fundamentals
Session 3: Cybersavvy with Cybersecurity
Session 4: AI literacy

This program will run twice across the academic year and is open to all primary and post-primary (second-level and Youthreach) educators. Digital badges will be issued to those who complete the course. No pre-requisite knowledge or specific platform access is required to participate.
